The 2018 FIRST Robotics Competition Game:
FIRST POWER UP is played on a 27 ft. by 54 ft. field. Two alliances, each composed of three robots, compete in a “king of the hill”-like game. The alliances compete for control of two switches and a center scale. Alliances earn points for each second they are in possession of their switch and/or the scale. Alliances take control of the switches and scale by placing Power Cubes (milk crates with yellow covers) into their side of the switches and/or scale to weight them down. Alliances may also trade in Power Cubes to obtain Power Ups, which can give them temporary control of a switch and/or scale, as well as provide additional points. In the last 30 seconds of the match, robots may climb the scale to earn their alliance additional points. [/twocol_one] [twocol_one_last]
