Pigxel
Power Up 2018
Pigxel is Exploding Bacon’s 13th robot, built to play the 2018 FIRST Robotics Competition Game “POWER UP”.
Built to specialize at scoring in the switch and exchange, Pigxel is a low-to-the-ground, high-speed cube scorer. With a 24 feet-per-second high gear, Pigxel can race across the field and assault the opponent’s switch, or alternatively leverage its rotating arm to quickly and efficiently fill the Exchange. This season Pigxel competed at the Orlando Regional where was 5th seed Alliance Captain Semifinalist, the South Florida Regional as a Semifinalist, and the Hopper Division at the FIRST Championship in Houston as a Quarterfinalist.
